Maike Dahl has always been fascinated with pearls and dreams of finding one inside a shell whilst eating mussels. The lustre, colour and shape of pearls is very inspring to her work. She likes to give a contemporary twist to the traditional pearl, giving them a fresh look which catches the zeitgeist.
